Nokia Lumia 1020 Colors and specifications
One Nokia Lumia 1020 leak not enough to help you get through this Monday? I’ve got some good news for you, friend, because more details on Nokia’s upcoming smartphone have just made their way online. The folks at WPCentral just posted a new render of the device that shows off its yellow, white and black bodies, complete with a nice view of the 41-megapixel camera on the 1020’s backside.
In addition to this leaked image, today’s report has revealed a few more details about the phone itself. According to WPCentral, the Lumia 1020 features 2GB RAM, a bump up from the 1GB found in other recent high-end Windows Phone devices. The phone’s camera is said to feature optical image stabilization and the ability to capture 32-megapixel and 5-megapixel 16:9 photos at the same time, with the 5-megapixel shot being oversampled to cram 7 pixels into 1 “superpixel.” It’s also reportedly possible to shoot 38-megapixel photos in a 4:3 aspect ratio.

The Lumia 1020 is expected to come preloaded with a new Nokia-made “Pro Camera” app to provide advanced settings for its 41-megapixel shooter. The app will allegedly give users the ability to change settings like ISO, white balance, manual focus, shutter speed and flash in the live shooting mode.

Oh, and about that naming mix-up? Today’s report claims that Lumia 1020 went by the name “Lumia 909″ early on in its life, which may have been a callback to the original 41-megapixel Nokia phone, the 808 PureView. However, thanks to some photos posted to Flickr by Windows Phone chief Joe Belfiore, it appears that the phone formerly known as “EOS” will become the Lumia 1020 once it arrives on shelves. That’s expected to happen as soon as this month, with Microsoft stores reportedly receiving inventory on July 22 in preparation for an actual release later in the week. Get ready, Nokia fans, because it’s looking like your “true” PureView WIndows Phone is very nearly here.
